Welcome to an easy and carefree vacation on lake Kantojärvi in Ruka-Kuusamo

Teerenkieppi cottage is situated on a beautiful shore of lake Kantojärvi, in Ruka-Kuusamo, surrounded by nature. The location is excellent, as there are many popular day trip destinations nearby. It’s about 14km to the Pieni Karhunkierros trail starting point and about 10km to Ruka ski resort. The nearest airport is Kuusamo Airport, which is 40km away. The house itself as well as its backyard are good for enjoying the peace and the quiet of surrounding nature, and you can see Konttainen, Valtavaara and Rukantunturi from the lakeshore. The beach is suitable for children, as it is sandy and gently deepening. The lake’s bottom is hard and the water is clear.

This traditional log cabin in Ruka-Kuusamo sleeps seven people. There is two bedrooms downstairs, one with a double bed (160cm) and one with two single beds (80cm). In addition, there are three extra beds on the loft that has a low ceiling and oversees the downstairs area.

The kitchen and living room are open-plan, with high ceilings and an entrance to the spacious, partially roundabout outdoor terrace. The living room has a soapstone fireplace and a SmartTV. There is free WiFi on the premises. For clothes and skiing equipment, there is a drying cabinet and a washing machine. The house is equipped with an air heat pump for both heating and cooling.

In the yard there is a lakeside finnish sauna and a barbecue room for year-round use. From the steam of the wood-heated lakeside sauna, you can take a dip in the clean Lake Kantojärvi in the summer. Outdoors there is also a lean-to and a campfire.

In summer, there is a rowing boat for your use on the lake.

Extra comfort is provided by wood-heated Kiramin Comfort outdoor hot tub! It is hygienic and, thanks to its powerful fire, quick to heat. The hot tub can be used year-round. Enjoy biting winter temperatures, northern lights, and sleepless summer nights from the warmth and comfort of a hot tub!
