Ruka ski resort is only 4 km away from this cosy, yet bright cottage. You can also spend your days exploring the National parks of Oulanka and Riisitunturi. This spacious holiday home is located 27 km from Kuusamo airport. You will find a car being essential to get around.

This cottage named Kuukkelisalmi, located in Ruka, can accommodate up to 6 persons. It features a master bedroom downstairs wirh wide 180cm doublebed and 4 beds upstairs.

In front of the cottage you will find a wood-fired family hot tub, available to use for an extra fee. The hot tub is available for rent year around. Relaxing in the hot tub, you can admire the miraculous Nothern lights or experience the nightless nights in summer.

The open kitchen and living area features large windows with a nice view on the riverbank of Salmilampi. A big stone fireplace can be lit to create a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. A wood heated sauna will allow you to enjoy the real authentic Finnish sauna culture.

On a rainy day you can enjoy the Smart-TV in the living area and an extra TV+Xbox upstairs. There is also a collection of board games, toys and films. Wi-fi is free.

There is also a private cozy barbeque hut called “kota” right next to the house, where you can enjoy openfire and cookings. In summer a rowing boat is available for guests to go fishing and enjoying the pond with many of its birds.

In summer hiking and biking trails are easy to reach. Also by car you can reach Oulanka National Park or Riisitunturi National park easily. In winter a well maintained ski track is passing by just a few metres away from this cottage.
