Ruka ski resort is only 4 km away from this cosy, yet bright cottage. You can also spend your days exploring the National parks of Oulanka and Riisitunturi. Kuusamo airport is only 27 km away. You will find a car being essential to get around.

This cottage in Ruka, Kuukkelisalmi, can accommodate up to 8 persons. It features a master bedroom downstairs, 4 beds upstairs and 2 extra beds are available for children. Enjoy a large entrance hall, separated from the living area. In front of the cottage you will find a wood-fired family hot tub, available to use for an extra fee. Relaxing in the hot tub, you can admire the miraculous Nothern lights in autumn and winter or experience the nightless nights in summer.

The open kitchen and living area features big windows with a nice view on the riverbank of Salmilampi. Ruka. A big stone fire place can be lit to create a cosy atmosphere. A wood heated sauna will allow you to enjoy the real authentic Finnish sauna culture.

On a rainy day you can enjoy the Smart-TV in the living area as well as TV+DVD in the master bedroom and an extra TV+Xbox upstairs. There is also a collection of board games, toys and films. Wi-fi is free.

There is also a cozy barbeque hut, a rowing boat and two fat bikes for your private use.

In summer hiking and biking trails are easy to reach. In winter a well maintained ski track is passing by just a few metres away from this cottage. A snowmobile track is easy to reach too.
